Antique Indian Zardosi Gold Wirework Embroidered Black Velver Pyramid Shaped Evening Bag, Rare, Formal Event, Early 20th Century

Step back in time to the early days of the 20th century with this simply stunning antique rare evening bag, perfect for any formal event to shimmy on the dance floor.
Hand Made in India from black velvet, it has an unusual pyramid shape. The ridged sides of the pyramid are beautifully decorated by hand using traditional intricate Zardosi techniques, gold wire work embroidery in a floral design. The base of the bag is covered in black velvet.
It has an ingenious black velvet ribbon handle that is pulled through the loop at the top to open one side of the bag.. Inside is lined in black silky satin.
Measures 5” x 5 “ at the base and the sides are 4” high. This amazing bag remains in excellent condition for its age with small areas of wire missing along the edges of the sides ,however this is barely noticeable given the age and history of this bag. Perfect for a vintage wedding or a special occasion, ready to party once more !
