Antique 1920s/30s Oval Italian Micro Mosiac Floral Brooch, Blue Glass with multicoloured roses, Gifts for Mum

Italian Micro Mosaic is made up from tiny pieces of glass called treserae, arranged to form an image. An art form that represents a real labour of love by skilled artisans, some pieces can date back as far as the 17th century.
This fabulous antique brooch dating from the late 1920s onwards is a fine example of Micro Mosaic. The large oval brooch is beautifully decorated with a glass mosaic in an intricate floral milli fiori floral design onto a brass backing.
The brooch has a secure safety pin catch which dates the piece to the 1920s and the colours remain bright and vibrant.
Measures 4cm wide x 3cm and remains in excellent vintage condition for its age and comes in a gift box, a delightful sustainable gift .
