Antique Art Deco Black silk evening bag with ornate rhinestone studded frame

This gorgeous antique evening bag dates back to the roaring 20s, the age of the flapper girl and The Great Gatsby. It is made from finely pleated black silk taffeta gathered onto an ornate gold tone metal frame. The frame is studded with silver sparkling rhinestones, has a filigree studded clasp and a gold tone chain short handle. Inside is lined in black taffeta and there is an internal pocket.
Measures 8” x 5’ and remains in amazing condition for its age, there are a couple of the tiny rhinestones missing from the frame but this is barely noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of this period piece. An ideal bag to go with that little black dress or to add a touch of vintage glamour to any special occasion.
