Dating bag to the art deco era, the bag is made from gold moire taffetta, the front and back are decorated with rainbow glitter in red, green and gold with an overlay of beige floral lace. There is an ornate silver and tone metal frame with an art deco lift clasp set with silver crystals and there is a panel of cream pearly lucite across the top of the frame. The bag has a short chain handle and the inside is lined with Ivory Taffetta and there is an internal pocket that has the original vanity mirror still inside. The label on the pocket reads ‘ CFR Made in England’
The bag does have some age related issues, the metal frame is discoloured in places and the beige lace is discoloured through age and use, however this does not detract from the beauty and overall look of this period piece. This is reflected in the price of this gorgeous piece of history and it remains a very useable bag, ready to party once more.
