End of day beads are so called as the artisan glass blowers from Murano and Venice would use up whatever scraps of coloured glass they had been using that day to create unique glass beads which they would sell to make some money. A real zero waste industry and each set of beads is unique.
This flapper length strand Is made up from large lozenge shaped green glass, marbled with multicoloured shades interspaced with tiny round glass beads. The necklace is wired together with old gold tone wire and measures 54” in total. Simply slip over the head or loop to make a variety of styles. Large bead measures 1.8cm x 0.7cm approximately. Excellent vintage condition. Would make a lovely gift.
