Antique French Petite Pointe Embroidered Evening Bag

This stunning antique evening bag dates back to the early years of the 20th century. ithas a soft body covered with hand worked petite point embroidery in a floral design in vibrant shades of green, red, purple and gold. It has an ornate gold tone metal frame with a delicate twin top clasp and a fine chain handle. Inside is lined with a pale lilac slub silk, has a ruched internal pocket and is finished with an ornate braid.
Measures 8” x 6” x 1.5” and remains in excellent vintage condition, colours still vibrant and sharp,a truely wonderful piece.
