Vintage 1940s Hand Made Indian Zardosi Black Velvet Evening Bag with Gold Tradional Wirework Embroidery, Clutch Bag

This exquisite bag would add a touch of 40s glamour and sophistication to any occasion.
Hand made in the 1940s India, it features an intricate traditional gold Zardosi wirework embroidery using traditional patterns and techniques onto black velvet on the front flap.
The back is plain velvet with an embroidered hand or glove strap, the flap has a press stud fastening and the bag is lined in black satin internal pockets.
Measures 8"x 5" x 2.5" at the base.
The bag remains in excellent vintage condition, there is a feint mark on the central flower on the front, however the bag is so richly embellished this is barely noticeable and certainly does not detract from the splendour of this period piece and is reflected in the price..
