Vintage 1940s Indian Zardosi Embroidered Floral Evening Bag, Black velvet with traditional gold wirework and crystal beads, formal event

This exquisite bag would add a touch of 40s glamour and sophistication to any occasion.
Hand made in the 1940s India, the front flap of the black velvet bag features an intricate traditional gold Zardosi floral wirework embroidery using traditional patterns and techniques. The centre diamond is surrounded by a gold work trellis set with opaque milk glass beads.
The back is plain velvet with an embroidered hand or glove strap, the flap has a press stud fastening and the bag is lined in black satin with an internal pocket.
Measures 8"x 5" x 1" at the base and sides and the bag remains in excellent vintage condition for its age, perfect for any formal event.
