Vintage 1950s Gold chain mail Evening Bag Susan handbags of Bond Street, wedding, prom

This shimmering gold metallic ‘chain Mail evening bag was made by Susan Handbags of Bond Street I the 1950s/60s. It features a fluid chain mail metal fabric body wired onto a gold tone metal frame, actually appears much more gold in real life than the photographs show. It has a twin top clasp set with faceted silver rhinestones and there is a diagonal snake chain handle. Inside is lined with a deep gold taffeta and there is an internal pocket which sadly has come away on one corner but could be easily mended.
Measures 8” x 4.5” and remains in excellent vintahe condition , a great bag for a prom queen or for any other special occasion.
