Vintage 1950s Large Black Beaded Clutch Bag

This gorgeous black clutch bag dates back to the 1950s and is made up from a soft satin body, beautifully beaded back and front with circles and swirls worked in lustre bugle and seed beads. The bugle beads of the swirls catch the light and shimmer . It has a rigid gold tone metal frame which rolls over to close the bag securely. Originally the bag would have had a snake chain handle , sadly one of the housings for this has snapped off so a chain can no longer be attached. It still works very well as a clutch bag and measures a generous 9” x 6” and has a 1” base. The bag is lined in black satin and it has an internal pocket. It remains in excellent vintage condition, on close inspection there is a small area of missing beads on the top edge , would be barely noticeable when the bag is used and certainly does not detract from the overall look and elegance.
