Vintage Butler and Wilson Crystal Fred Bear in a Motor Car Brooch

A wonderfully quirky vintage Butler & Wilson novelty brooch featuring a teddy bear driving a glamorous sports car.

The car is beautifully detailed in gold-tone metal with sparkling clear crystals and rhinestones, glossy red and black enamel, and plenty of tiny decorative touches that give the piece real character.

The teddy bear sits proudly behind the wheel, and one of the most charming details is the personalised-style number plate reading “FRED”.

This playful design has a lovely vintage, Art Deco-inspired feel and is a fabulous example of Butler & Wilson’s much-loved novelty jewellery.

The reverse carries the B&W maker’s disc and the brooch fastens securely with a traditional pin and rollover safety catch.
