Vintage Large Clam Shell Trinket Box, purple striped shell with gold tone metal, Jewellery Box, Pill Box

This stunning shell box may have been used at one time as a small coin purse or clutch, very popular in the early years of the 20 th century.
Nowadays we’d use it as a gorgeous trinket box, the perfect place to hide vintage treasure! It had been made from a large clam shell, striped in shades of purple and ivory. It has a gold tone metal ornate frame with a hinged opening and a secure twist clasp.
